Vanjaar se Graanprodusent van die Jaar, mnr. Jaap van der Westhuizen van Parys, Vrystaat, het in 11 jaar sy boerdery van die rand van ondergang tot ’n saaiboerdery op 11 500 ha geneem.

Van der Westhuizen, wat in Midrand as die tiende Graanprodusent van die Jaar aangewys is, het net meer as ‘n dekade gelede enorme skuld op sy skouers geneem om sy familie se boerdery van ondergang te red.

Die 35-jarige Van der Westhuizen het sy saaiery in die afgelope tien jaar verdriedubbel tot 11 500 ha, waarvan 4 300 ha sy eie grond is. Sy omset het gegroei van R3 miljoen destyds tot R45 miljoen in 2008 en ’n verwagte R80 miljoen vanjaar. Hy plant jaarliks 8 350 ha sorghum, 1 400 ha mielies en 1 750 ha sojabone. CSDTecmo is trots om brandstof bustuur vir hierdie besigheid te doen.

CSDTecmo is moving to its new premises in Vanderbijlpark. The company has grown so much over the past year that office space was getting a huge problem. For some time we have been hunting for the suitable premises. This is a new era for us, grateful and extremely excited.

Levina Senekal,
our colleague and beautifull friend's sudden passing has left a huge empty space in CSDTecmo. We will certainly miss her light, laughter and important role in the company. Being an organ donor she is still making this world a better for others. Rest in peace dear friend.

A GPRS Modem and Basic Script interpriting is new additions to the RDAcIII. With the GPRS functionality data can be transmitted though a GSM network. The BASIC scripting facilitates intelligence e.g. calculations and to give output in responce to input. All it still needs is the tin opener.

Managment of fluids is rapidly becomming as a neccesity.
The awareness among farmers to optimise their fuel ussage has lead to the building of another 50 complete FAMS stations, due to be installed before the end of the year...
