The Company was originally established as Vaal Software Services in 1988. The name was changed to Cybernetic Software Development in 1992. We were situated in Vaalpark since 1992 in the Vaal-Triangle, next to Vanderbijlpark and Sasolburg, but since 2009 CSDTECMO moved to Vanderbijlpark. Cybernetic Software Development grew from strength to strength from a small business to a dynamic company with +- 20 to 30 full time personnel.

CSD is a recognized, innovative and independent company with a source of knowledge-based personnel and a technical team. We offer our customers a wide range of Service and Development and/or implementation of specialized systems with Hardware and Software. We specialize in the development of dedicated electronic products and design, to suite the specific requirements of each individual customer. Cybernetic Software Development has dedicated manufacturing capabilities, for smaller and dedicated products. Larger orders are manufactured by a 3rd party manufacturer.

CSD’s partner profile is clients who has different concepts/ideas and has a market for these concepts/ideas. CSD and their Clients agrees on the product specification (Scope of work). These products are created, manufacture and debugged for a working prototype. After the clients are satisfied with the prototype, CSD starts the manufacturing process.

This process can be done in house or sourced out depending on the cost efficiency. CSD also provides documentation and operating procedure for all their products. Once the products are manufactured & tested, they are ready to be sold to the world. This is normally the client's role.
